Why a mobile IP for Instagram

The vast majority of people use Instagram through the phone app, often on cellular data. Logging in from a mobile IP is therefore the most ordinary case there is, while datacenter and VPN IPs are more often associated with automation and abuse.

Mobile IPs are shared by many real carrier users (CGNAT), so platforms are careful before restricting them.

Who uses it and for what

  • Agencies and social media managers running several clients' profiles, each in its own separate environment.
  • Brands with several profiles (per country, product line or store).
  • Checking content and sponsored posts as they appear in a specific country.

How to set it up properly

  1. One browser profile or device per account, with an antidetect browser such as AdsPower or from a phone (iPhone, Android).
  2. One stable proxy per account or per group of accounts for the same client. Don't change IP during a session: see IP rotation.
  3. Consistency: the profile's language, timezone and country match the proxy's.
  4. Natural pacing: no batch actions at fixed intervals across all profiles.

The full method is in Managing multiple social accounts safely.

Always follow Instagram's Terms: the proxy is for cleanly separating legitimate accounts, not for creating fake accounts, spamming or manipulating engagement.

Frequently asked questions

How many Instagram profiles can I run per proxy?

For maximum separation, one per proxy. Several profiles for the same client can share one, as long as each has its own browser profile or device.

Should I change IP often?

No. For accounts continuity matters: keep the same IP during a session and rotate only between sessions, if needed.

Can I use it on my phone?

Yes, through the Wi‑Fi settings or a client app. Instructions are in the iPhone and Android guides.
