Check IPv6: does your connection support IPv6?
A full test in a few seconds: IPv4 and IPv6 address, IPv6 without DNS, which protocol your browser really uses and a 0–10 score. Plus an IPv6 check for any website.

The test runs from your browser to ipify.org and Cloudflare (1.1.1.1), like any web page. We don't store anything.
With a proxy or VPN turned on, the test shows their connection, not yours. Our mobile proxies go out over both IPv4 and IPv6.
Does a website have IPv6?
Enter a domain or an address: we check its DNS records (AAAA for IPv6, A for IPv4) on public DNS.
How it works
- Your browser opens four tiny pages: one reachable over IPv4 only, one over IPv6 only, one only through an IPv6 address written out in full (no DNS) and one with both.
- The first two reply with the address you come from, the third tells whether the IPv6 network works even when DNS doesn't, the fourth shows which protocol your browser picks when it can choose.
- From the results we work out the score: 10 out of 10 if IPv6 works and is used, 0 if it is missing. Our server only looks up the provider of your addresses.
Each check has 8 seconds to answer: on slow networks or with extensions that block requests to ipify.org it may show “no” even if IPv6 works. If so, run it again.
Frequently asked questions
What is IPv6 and why does it matter?
IPv6 is the new version of the Internet protocol, with 128-bit addresses: there are enough to give every device a public address. IPv4 addresses ran out years ago, which is why providers make many users share the same IPv4 (CGNAT). With IPv6 you get an address of your own, no NAT and often lower latency.
How do I turn on IPv6?
It depends on your provider. On mobile, setting the APN to “IPv4/IPv6” is usually enough. On a home line it has to be turned on in the router (IPv6, DHCPv6 or “dual stack”) and your provider must offer it. Computers and phones already have it on.
Why is the score 9 if IPv6 works?
Because with sites that have both addresses your browser picked IPv4. Browsers and operating systems try both and use the faster one (Happy Eyeballs): if IPv6 answers a little slower, IPv4 wins. It's not an error.
Does my IPv6 address reveal who I am?
Like IPv4, it shows the provider and the area, not your name. Modern systems use temporary IPv6 addresses that change often (privacy extensions), so websites can't recognise you from one day to the next by the address alone.
Do ProxyHub proxies support IPv6?
Yes: our 4G/5G mobile proxies go out over both IPv4 and IPv6 with real carrier addresses, so they also work with IPv6-only sites and apps. You can check it with the Proxy checker.
