Use the proxy with Proxifier (Windows and macOS)
Proxifier intercepts programs' connections and sends them to the proxy, even when the program has no proxy option. You decide which apps use the proxy and which don't.
Step by step
- 1
Open Profile › Proxy Servers… and click Add.
- 2
Enter the Address (host) and Port; for Protocol choose HTTPS if the proxy is HTTP, or SOCKS Version 5.
- 3
Enable Authentication and enter the username and password, then click Check to test the connection.
- 4
Open Profile › Proxification Rules: create a rule for the apps you want to proxy (e.g. chrome.exe) with the Action set to your proxy, or change the Default rule's action.
- 5
In Profile › Name Resolution enable resolving hostnames through the proxy, to avoid DNS leaks.
Tips
- In Proxifier “HTTPS” means an HTTP proxy with a CONNECT tunnel: it's the right option for ProxyHub's HTTP protocol.
- Keep a Direct rule for localhost and your local network.
- With per-application rules you can use different proxies for different programs.
