Use the proxy with cURL
cURL is the fastest way to try the proxy and to use it in scripts. Replace the placeholders with your proxy's data.
Step by step
- 1
Copy host, port, username and password from your proxy's Connection section.
- 2
For an HTTP proxy use the -x option with an http:// scheme, for SOCKS5 use socks5h:// (the “h” resolves domains through the proxy).
- 3
Check the outgoing IP with a service such as api.ipify.org.
- 4
To change IP from a script, call the rotation link and wait about 20 seconds before the next request.
Terminal
# HTTP
curl -x "http://USER:PASSWORD@HOST:PORT" https://api.ipify.org
# SOCKS5
curl -x "socks5h://USER:PASSWORD@HOST:PORT" https://api.ipify.org
# New IP (rotation link from the client area)
curl "ROTATION_LINK"Replace USER, PASSWORD, HOST and PORT with your proxy's data (client area › proxy › Connection).
Tips
- Add --max-time 30 so you don't hang during a rotation.
- The URL scheme must match the protocol set in the client area (HTTP or SOCKS5).
